The Young and the Restless spoilers indicate that it looks like there weren’t many people out there who were happy to see former The Young and the Restless head executive writer and showrunner at the 2019 Daytime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday evening. Mal was there to help collect the best drama, writing and directing awards for the soap. However, he got a rather cold reception as a lot of people are still putting the blame on him for almost dismantling the soap!

A lot of viewers were unhappy with the way the show was being written while Mal was still on board. That’s why it doesn’t come as a surprise that a lot of fans took to their Twitter accounts to express their disappointment at seeing Mal Young on the stage. Some of the comments included, “Mal Young’s debacle was recognized as the best? What an utter joke. How pathetic has the genre gotten. Very sad.”
Another fan wrote, “I’m astonished at the fact he came and was proud as a peacock. He stated he wasn’t following Bill Bell’s legacy and then gets up on stage and talks all about his legacy. I could write a long line of untruths that actors corrected. No, I’m happy he’s so happy but glad he’s finished.”
What’s more, it doesn’t look like Mal got much support from the cast and crew of The Young and the Restless didn’t show their support or enthusiasm towards the ex-writer at the Daytime Emmys. They also didn’t have anything to say about him on social media, either.
Clearly, both the fans of the soap and the stars have said everything they had to say about Mal Young without saying much at all! But at the same time, they are also relieved that Mal Young’s chapter has finally come to an end and that the show can move on without him.
