General Hospital Recap Wednesday: Laura and Curtis’ Lives Hang In the Balance – Could Join Ryan Chamberlain’s Canadian Helper As Next Victims!
General Hospital spoilers: Making a date
Sam is taking a walk when Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) approaches her about her initiation. He thinks now is a good time to get that done, considering the recent tragic events. Sam disagrees—at least on doing it tonight. She’d rather go back home and hold her kids. She’s still open to doing it, though, and almost accepts an invite to another event being held by Dawn of Day. This is where things get a little weird.
See, it conflicts with the Nurses’ Ball, and Sam never misses. Shiloh starts on the event, claiming it’s a useless fraud that’s all about making rich people feel good about themselves without really doing anything. Sam disagrees. She points out the even has raised tons of money for HIV/AIDS and says he’s being judgmental. She thinks he needs to experience the ball for himself, so she asks him to cancel his event and be her date. Shiloh actually goes along, which makes us wonder if he had an event planned at all. Canceling last second seems like it might look bad to the group, plus he was putting up those advertisements for it a bit late.
GH spoilers: Awkward, much?
If Sonny hasn’t already had enough problems in recent months, Mike Corbin (Max Gail) takes it up a notch. We see why he ended up picking up that ring intended for Anna Devane (Finola Hughes): He wants to propose to Yvonne Godfrey (Janet Hubert). There’s just one problem with that: Yvonne is already married, and her husband doesn’t much like the idea of letting Mike propose to his wife. Stella and Sonny don’t know what to do, because this is going to be too confusing to explain to our would-be honeymooners why this can’t happen.
Despite Marcus’ objections, he decides to do what’s best for Yvonne at this time and leave. Not before telling her how pretty she looks today, which earns a sweet reaction from Yvonne. Later, we see Mike get down on one knee. This is going to be interesting to see how the affected handle this one going forward.
Elsewhere, Anna seems to assume that Robert is thinking of trying to rekindle their love. She goes on a big diatribe about how old loves should stay in the past and she’s not the marrying kind. She goes even further, explaining that her relationship with Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) is solid and perfect as is. Felicia and Mac Scorpio (Kristina Wagner and John J. York) try to do some damage control after Robert leaves to deal with a call, but Anna sticks to her story. And we must say that Anna hoping that whatever crisis Robert’s dealing with is a disaster far away before taking a big swig of booze was awesome.
Speaking of Robert, Finn is done waiting and has been trying desperately to get in touch with Robert. When Robert arrives, he demands the ring immediately. Robert is trying to explain there may be a bigger problem here when Finn notices the (very obvious) difference in the ring. He wants to know what’s going on.
General Hospital spoilers: It’s a trap
Laura and Curtis are going over all the reasons April Trembley is a lying liar when the woman herself calls. She explains she wasn’t upfront and wasn’t alone. Now that she is, she is willing to talk. They rush back to her place, and it isn’t until they arrive that Laura brings up the obvious—they’re walking into a trap.
She’s right. When they go inside, there’s no power and April’s body on the ground. Laura is horrified and away to try getting cell service so they can get the authorities here. While she’s turned away, Curtis is knocked out. Then we see Laura’s POV she backs into a wall screaming.
General Hospital spoilers: Stubborn patients
Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Jordan Ashford (Brianna Nicole Henry) are frustrating people today. Before running off to deal with the Yvonne proposal situation, Stella had learned that Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) wouldn’t be able to be a donor for Jordan. She’s ready to move on to the next step in finding someone by using the genealogy site Jordan and Curtis had been on.
Jordan explains that Curtis hasn’t done that yet, because he doesn’t know. He’s on a case. Stella is furious, and asks if Jordan has learned anything after the last time. She thinks that Curtis wouldn’t care about this lead he’s chasing if he knew, and he has a right to know. She can’t go making unilateral decisions about big stuff like this. Eventually, Jordan does try to get in touch with him after reflecting on everything Stella and Finn have said. Unfortunately, by that time, Curtis had no service and was likely already knocked out.

Elsewhere, Carly has been dragged to GH by Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) after she experienced some pain. She tries to dismiss things when they get there, but Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy) ain’t having it because Carly isn’t the medical professional here, thanks. We love Epiphany. Have we mentioned that? Anyway, she examines Carly and says it’s just a common thing that happens in pregnancy and while painful, isn’t serious.
She then orders Carly to rest for fifteen minutes, to which Carly objects. If it’s not serious, she doesn’t think she would need to rest. Epiphany puts her foot down and orders Jason to make sure Carly complies. Jason, clearly not wanting to feel her wrath gets Carly to obey. Carly’s stressed, though, because she’s learned her tests are in, and she’s going to have to come in tomorrow to see the results.
