‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Told you so
So, you might remember that John’s been hiding the secret of Leo’s paternity from Marlena at Diana Cooper’s (Judith Chapman) request. What he doesn’t know is that Diana made a deal with Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) that’s sold him up the river. Lucky for John, Marlena’s an understanding sort. Even though she clearly seems upset about being kept in the dark, she hears him out. She also calls him out, reminding him that Diana’s already lied to Marlena. How can he not consider she’s lying about this, too? Oops. They devise a little plan.

Later at the Kiriakis mansion, Marlena comes to see Victor and just happens to see Diana there as well. She’d been there to get an update on their deal. He assures Diana he told Marlena, but reminds her that he also said there is no way something like that is going to break John and Marlena up. When Marlena arrives, she says she’s happy to kill two birds with one stone. She thanks Victor for telling her, then makes it clear to Diana she knows Diana is a liar who was pressuring John to keep quiet. She very pointedly says she and John are just fine, but she won’t say anything to Leo.
Meanwhile, John had snuck in the house while Marlena kept them busy. He stole a toothbrush from Leo’s room. They leave the grounds, planning to do a DNA test. Back inside, Victor throws another I-told-you-so out there. Diana admits John only looked twice at her because Marlena was supposedly dead. Victor says she’s not going anywhere, and it seems Diana might beg to differ.
Related: Will Horton (Chandler Massey) and Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) prove they might deserve to get caught sneaking around in Diana’s hotel room, because they meet first at the Park of Discovery and share a kiss there, despite Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) warning them to stay away from each other for now. They don’t find anything in Diana’s room (yet), but they nearly get caught by Leo himself, who is there to find the evidence Diana has on fake-dad’s murder. While he doesn’t name the crime while talking to himself in the room, he says enough for Will and Sonny to know there is definitely something to find there, and might just be in the room’s safe.
Thanks a lot
You might remember that last time, Chloe had been warned by Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder) there was a man with a gun in Doug’s Place. She’s scared, obviously, but Rex casually walks toward the door, sneaking up on the man from behind. While they’re struggling with each other, Chloe pulls out an insanely large can of mace (like, really? That thing could stop an assailant just by smashing it over their head) and sprays the guy. With him incapacitated, she takes his gun and holds him at bay. But the guy wasn’t there to hurt her, he was there to protect her. Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) had hired him to protect her. She is warm! Watch out, Brady…

Speaking of Brady, he’s stopped by Stefan DiMera’s (Tyler Christopher) to get his macho on. He makes it clear he doesn’t trust Stefan, and that the man is giving Chloe a false sense of security that will get her hurt. They argue a bit, and Stefan lets him know that he won’t be playing nice in their little business rivalry. Brady wants him to bring it. They’re interrupted by a very angry Chloe, who reads Brady the riot act for her scare and how she almost killed the guy because of it. She makes it clear she wants no more interference from him. Brady goes off to lick his wounds and fire the guy who let Rex catch him by surprise. Brady will handle the job now. Dude… learn when to back off.Â
Proposal drama
Sarah is still struggling with the proposal from Rex, and her feelings for Erc Brady (Greg Vaughan). She talks it over with Maggie Horton-Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers). The bottom line for her is, Sarah should not commit to Rex unless she is 100% sure, and she needs to follow her heart.
Meanwhile, Rex continues to be a little creepy by pushing Eric to advocate for him. Eric assures him that he said Sarah doesn’t have to take him into account when making her decision. Seriously, man. Let the girl take a breath. You’re lucky she’s even dating you right now.
