The duo have had an on-off relationship, as they struggled to iron out their differences which led them to part ways. However, after spending some time away from each other, they reconciled for the better. A source confirmed as much: “They’re happy with the way things are for now.” Things became even better through the arrival of Khai.
She was born in the latter half of 2020, and Zayn has made the crucial step of staying in the US to give his family some much-needed stability. But for all his music success, this moment topped it all off. In a post to his fans on Twitter at the time, he said: “Our baby girl is here, healthy and beautiful. To try [to] put into words how I am feeling right now would be an impossible task.
“The love I feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding. Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine.” So how are the couple managing to balance their hectic lifestyle amid parenting? Well, rather well as Gigi seems to be a natural. Although she has a big family there to support her, she is hell-bent on taking the lead in her parental duties.
An insider revealed: “Gigi is a wonderful, hands-on mom. She could easily afford to employ a team of nannies but chooses not to. She prefers to do everything herself.” That does not mean that she does not mind a break on some occasions. And when that time does come, her mother, Yolanda Hadid is ready to step up to the plate.
She has previously spoken on wanting to have grandkids, and now is the perfect opportunity to get involved. The insider added: “[Yolando] is always willing to help out. Khai adores her grandmother and gets super excited when she walks into the room.” It is great to see the couple doing so well in their lives. But as for the fans, there is only one question on their minds: will Zayn reunite for a One Direction reunion tour?
