Britney Spears reveals in her memoir, “The Woman in Me,” that she was blindsided when Justin Timberlake broke up with her by a text message after she cheated on Timberlake with dancer Wade Robinson.
The break up with her and Justin was a tumultuous time for her. It has been speculated that Justin’s 2002 song, “Cry Me a River,” is about Britney’s unfaithfulness. Britney received a lot of backlash for cheating on Timberlake because of the music video for the song.
Britney admits to making out with Wade during a night of dining and dancing. She said they danced all night at a Spanish bar and kissed as they danced. She said it was the only time she was ever unfaithful to Justin during that three-year period.
Britney’s “Everytime” is About Her Baby with Justin
In 2003, Britney came out with a song, “Everytime, ” which is believed to be a response to Timberlake’s “Cry Me a River.” Her song now holds a deeper meaning for her fans. The song is thought to be about her aborted baby with Justin Timberlake.
The song sounds like a delicate lullaby, and the words include,
“I guess I need you, baby. And every time I see you in my dreams, I see your face. You’re haunting me. I guess I need you, baby.”
Britney’s fans on social media were quick to defend the pop princess concerning the unfortunate situation. One fan said,
“The HORRIBLE news about Britney’s abortion bc of Justin Timberlake just took Everytime music video to a whole new view. She deserved better.”
Another fan said,
“So Britney Spears’s “Everytime” is a lullaby for her unborn child with Justin Timberlake. This makes the meaning of the song a whole lot different now. She’s drowning herself to be with her baby; that’s my interpretation of the song & music video.”
The music video shows a baby being born and Britney wearing white, the color of purity. She races through the hospital hallways and enters a room where a woman flatlines.
Britney then goes into another room where a woman is giving birth. The baby is wrapped in a little pink blanket and handed to Britney.
Justin Allegedly Stepped Out on Britney Spears
Britney also claims that Justin cheated on her with a celebrity. She won’t name them because the woman has a family, and she “doesn’t want to embarrass them.”
Britney says that Justin cheated on her twice during their relationship. It is rumored that the girl he cheated on her with is Nicole Appleton from the 90’s girl group, “All Saints.” Photographers caught the two of them sneaking into a hotel room.
After Britney’s baby revelation, a representative for Timberlake responded,
“Justin has been focusing on his own family and trying not to concern himself with Britney’s memoir.”
The source continued to explain that they were just kids when they were together. Justin still cares and has respect for her, but he has moved on. He doesn’t want to focus on the past.
That’s one way of avoiding controversy: just say it was your past. Britney does nothing without publicity in mind, but she may also be trying to heal.
