It’s always entertaining when the curtain is pulled back and the drama of real life is better than what we get on the television, but just like a script anything can become a storyline from ‘The Young and the Restless’.
In this case, Eric Braeden too offense at a comment Eva Longoria made during an interview with Chris Wallace.
‘Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Star Eric Braeden Rips into Eva Longoria for Perceived Slight
She talked about when she got her start on “The Young and the Restless” twenty years ago and then went on to explain she was a headhunter of sorts and it paid more than her acting job.
She also went into some detail that being an actress was detrimental to her work as customers wouldn’t take her as seriously if they knew she was an actress, and when one thought he recognized her she tried to play it off.

‘Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: In steps the Moustache
In response to her interview clip, Eric Braeden went on a tear insulting her and calling her out for “derogatory” comments toward the show and soap actors.
He then went on to argue with anyone that didn’t agree with him and pointed out he laughed at herself at that point in her career.
“EVA LONGORIA: you just made derogatory remarks about daytime actors! You simply weren’t good enough to survive the pressures of this medium! You were very lucky to get on that “housewife” show! You did one show in 8-12 days, with mediocre but salacious dialogue! Our actresses
“Would run rings around you!! And they did then!! From Robert di Nero to whoever they all are, many of them started in the medium you denigrate! It shows a complete lack of class!!”
Somewhere in his running her down, he responded to fans about how she should be proud of her time on daytime television and how it’s the hardest working group out there.
He’s right in that people should be proud of the work they did on those shows given the amount of lines they have to memorize and episode they crank out in short order, but we don’t see any derogatory comments from her.
Like many of the commentators, she came across as laughing at herself and her cringe worthy scene than anything derogatory toward the genre.
Maybe we missed something and Eric has a point. It’s subjective in many ways and we’ll take what we want to from any interview.
In the end, it’s his opinion. Do you agree with him or did he totally miss her point? Let us know in the comments below and check back with “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation.
