‘Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that with Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) new decision to cut ties with his family and change his last name to Wilson, may have a greater personal effect on his father, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) than he realizes right now.
Victor has loved Adam unconditionally and through thick and thin has defended and stood up for him in the midst of his siblings and most importantly, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott).

‘Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Victor HEARTBROKEN Over Adam Leaving And Changing His Name
Victor has bent over backwards for him time and time again and oddly enough really cares about him. I mean, I guess he should, it’s his son. Although even after everything Adam has done, he still loves him. It’s a strange relationship.
Today, after Adam told him he was changing his name, Victor told him this was a line and it’d be very hard to come back, almost in a threatening voice, though you could tell he was deeply hurt by Adam’s decision. This is going to tear Victor apart inside and we’ll watch him as he works through it.
Will Victor say or do something to Adam because of this? I have a bad feeling this is going to do something terrible to Victor.
