‘Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers star Sharon Case (Sharon Newman) just admitted to something that a lot of actors of her caliber probably wouldn’t say. The soap star admitted that she doesn’t feel comfortable watching herself on television. Here’s what you need to know.

Even though she’s considered to be one of the most beautiful and talented stars on daytime television, Sharon can’t get herself to watch her performances on the small screen. That’s because, just like so many other stars out there, she’s too critical of what she sees when it comes to her acting.

“I don’t normally watch myself, except when I have scenes that are really important or poignant for some reason,” the Emmy winner admitted to Soaps In Depth. “I feel like I have had a lot of those lately!”
But Sharon says that she does make some exceptions. Whenever her character Sharon Newman has a pivotal scene or is in a new storyline with a new character, Sharon pays attention to her scenes to see if she’s getting things right. In other words, she wants to make sure that every emotion, every word, and every expression is done right.
“Whenever Sharon is developing a new romantic relationship, I think it’s important to me as an actress to watch it,” Case confessed. “But otherwise I’m not watching myself. If I’m just pouring coffee at Crimson Lights, I’m not turning the TV on to watch that!”
Hey, we don’t blame her at all! And while Sharon might feel uncomfortable watching herself on daytime television, the same can’t be said about the millions of ‘Young and the Restless’ fans who tune in each and every week for all of the hot and exciting drama!
