'Young and the Restless' Spoilers: Jeffrey Vincent Parise Joins The Cast As Simon Black - What You Need To Know!

‘Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers finds that it looks like we’ve got a new trouble maker in Genoa City. That’s because ‘Young and the Restless’ comings and goings indicate that actor Jeffrey Vincent Parise has joined the cast as a new character by the name of Simon Black. And luckily, we’ve got all of the details that you need to know right here.

From what we know so far Simon is someone who is going to stir up some drama and that he’s also a hunk. The soap describes him as “a charming and dangerous stranger who visits town to settle unfinished business with someone in Genoa City.” Fans will get to see Jeffrey make his debut during the November 1st episode.

If Jeffrey looks familiar, that’s because he’s a daytime television vet who has been on plenty of shows in the past. He played a charming and dangerous man by the name of Carlos Rivera on ‘General Hospital’. He also played Prince of Hell, Asmodeus on the CW’s Supernatural. If that weren’t enough, he’s also had roles in shows such as The Detour, Man Men, Castle, CSI:NY and plenty more in the past, too.

If there’s one thing that Jeffrey has learned throughout his career, it’s that there are plenty of differences between daytime television and primetime.  “There’s a lot more freedom in having a prime-time budget,” he said in an interview with Soap Opera Digest back in 2017, “from the choreographer to the dialect coach to the accommodations, which were just amazing. I stayed in an incredible hotel that had floor-to-ceiling windows looking out over Manhattan. And I had tons of days off to go to museums and galleries, so not only was it an incredible job experience, but it was an amazing personal experience, as well. I’d never spent that much time in New York, around a month and a half.”
