‘Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers finds that just because she is no longer on the small screen, that doesn’t mean she’s out of the picture all together. Even though Phyllis Summers and Sharon Newman, have never really been the best of friends in Genoa City, that doesn’t seem to be the case in real life. In fact, actresses Gina Tognoni and Sharon Case are not only former co-stars, but they are also best friends! Gina couldn’t help but share a photo of the two of them having a heartwarming reunion while in New York City this past week.

The two good friends caught up over dinner and drinks in the Big Apple, much to the delight of ‘Young and the Restless’ and of course, Gina’s social media followers. “I couldn’t post this picture fast enough,” Tognoni declared. “Sharon Case #2020 can’t wait. See you soon, beauty girl. And yeah, our chemistry… no mystery! LOL, thanks!” It didn’t take very long for Sharon to respond as she also wrote, “I adore you, Gina! It was so much fun to see you tonight in NYC!” Sharon also reposted the same photo on her social media account.
As many ‘ Young and the Restless’ fans can recall, the last time that Gina was on the hit CBS soap was back in May, before she was let go. The role of Phyllis Summers ended up going back to actress Michelle Stafford, who played the character before Gina took over in 2014. While there have been a lot of people who expressed their dismay and disappointment over the new casting, others have said that Michelle has been doing a great job with the role so far. Now, as far as what Gina’s next move will be, the actress hasn’t said. But that hasn’t stopped fans from asking her if she plans on returning to daytime television. Until then, we will just have to keep our fingers crossed!
