‘Young and the Restless’ spoilers relate that although Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) confessed, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is still in locked up on murder charges. J.T. Hellstrom’s (Thad Luckinbill) arch is being played out and Victor, as we expect, is right in the middle of things. Someone is framing the “Moustache” and that same someone is also on Nikki’s case.

‘Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Did Phyllis Frame Victor?

Many fans feel that Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) is the person that framed Victor. Let’s analyze it a little further: she was present when J.T. died, and she knew about the murder weapon as well as where the body was hidden. When she first became CEO, she was pretty much running the show of the band of 4 where they tried to keep things on the hush-hush.

And if Phyllis did it, did she act alone? Chances are, probably not. So she must have used someone who has as much disdain for the ‘Stache as she does. Some people feel as though J.T. himself might have never died and even been part of the ruse to get Victor, but we disagree. We do believe that J.T. is, sadly, long gone. So we don’t buy that story, but until we know for certain it still remains a possibility in the realm of a Mal Young-produced soap opera.

One thing we do know, is that Nikki’s confession to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will make the latter more steadfast than ever in proving his father’s innocence in the murder. If anything, this whole ordeal elevates Victor as he’s taking the fall for a crime he didn’t commit all in the name of protecting his family. That is, after all, what he’s always preached: doing whatever it takes to protect your family, because that’s what matters the most.
