It’s only been a hot minute since Chelsea Newman has returned to Genoa City and yes, she’s been thrusted in the middle of all the Newman drama. With Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) trying to keep custody of his son Christian, Chelsea has been forced to choose sides between him and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Needless to say, that hasn’t been easy for her, considering that she has two very complicated histories with both men.
However, there’s a strong possibility that Chelsea might be pretending to show compassion and support where she needs to, but is actually cooking up a plan on her own. New ‘Young and the Restless’ spoilers tease Chelsea might be running a con seeing how her scheming mother Anita Lawson (Catherine Bach) is returning to town next month.

While no details have been provided just yet, we do know that Anita plans on reuniting with her daughter and that she’s got a few things up her sleeve, too. It’s not like we would expect anything less from a two-timing character like Anita, right? After all, a $5 million dollar inheritance doesn’t just “drop” into someone’s lap the way it did with Chelsea, right?
