‘Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers have teased that Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilauso), both fed up and upset, has pulled the plug on the relationship with his girlfriend, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). And that’s not because he doesn’t love her anymore. Instead, it’s because he thinks that she might be getting a little too close for comfort with her ex, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). According to Sharon, all she wants to do is help Adam get his family back. After all, she has a special connection both to him and his biological child, Christian. Even though it’s been Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) who has been raising the small boy in Adam’s absence, he believes he has every right to be the child’s parent. Of course, just about every person in Genoa City disagrees, with the lone exception being Sharon.

Sharon Case, who plays Sharon on the hit CBS soap, puts it this way, “Sharon’s heart was in the right place. Christian was her child when he was born and she raised him for a year, so she felt she was absolutely the right person for that. Her agreeing to step in and be the guardian was very aboveboard and nothing against Rey.”
With that said, Rey simply didn’t feel very comfortable with his investigation on Adam and of course seeing his girlfriend spend so much time with a man who he deems to be very dangerous. He even thinks that Adam has managed to get into Sharon’s head, which has left him both worried and upset in more ways than one.
Case adds, “When people warn Sharon against Adam, she thinks it’s not because they want to protect Sharon but because they don’t’ want Adam anywhere near them. Sharon isn’t in harm’s way, so this is really about Rey or Nick wanting Adam out of their lives, even in their periphery, as well. So she feels stuck in the middle right now.”
