Apparently, Rip Wheeler isn’t just breaking hearts on Yellowstone — he’s dodging wandering hands in real life too.
Cole Hauser confessed that his biggest fan problem isn’t autograph hunters or screaming crowds — it’s “old women” who think his backside is fair game.
“I’ve had some old women grab my ass,” Hauser said while pouring drinks at a tasting for his Lazy K Bar Straight Bourbon Whiskey in Arlington, Texas. “It’s been a little bit … strange.”
Yellowstone’s Cole Hauser Says ‘Old Women’ Fans Keep Grabbing His Ass: “They Just Won’t Stop Harassing Me”
Translation: Grandma’s had one too many bourbons and suddenly thinks she’s at a Chippendales show.
Hauser, 50, admitted most fans are perfectly polite, but after a couple of cocktails? All bets are off. “When the older ladies get a few drinks in them, they get a little aggressive,” he joked.
The actor — best known for playing Beth Dutton’s ride-or-die cowboy Rip — is currently filming the much-hyped Yellowstone spinoff in North Texas, where Kelly Reilly (Beth) and Annette Bening will also saddle up.
Of course, Hauser insists his steamy on-screen chemistry with Reilly is pure acting… mostly. “The loyalty, the love, the friendship — Kelly and I have that off-camera too,” he said, adding that working with her has been one of the highlights of his career.
When he’s not wrangling overzealous fans or horses, Hauser is hustling his whiskey brand, which just expanded from Montana to Texas. Unlike other celeb liquor lines, he swears his bourbon isn’t just a vanity project.
“Most celebrities just slap their face on vodka or tequila. There’s no real history,” he explained. “This has tremendous history. And I spent a lot of time finessing the juice in the bottle.”
So yes, Cole Hauser may be married (since 2006, to actress Cynthia Daniel), a proud whiskey boss, and a Hollywood cowboy — but according to him, none of that stops tipsy grandmas from making a grab for Rip Wheeler’s rear end.
