The final Raw before SummerSlam airs this evening, with some of the major storylines for the huge card of action this weekend likely to be in the limelight. There are already a number of rumours doing the rounds, as it has been muted that Rey Mysterio is set to return to Raw for the first time since his match against Seth Rollins at Extreme Rules.
WWE Raw Preview: Mysterio Return Teased
Mysterio’s return is one of the factors that has been teased by WWE on social media before this week’s edition, as it has been rumoured that the masked superstar could be set to return for the first time in a month to address the beat down that his son got at the hands of Seth Rollins last week.
Fans that watched the show last week would have seen Dominik being beaten down by Rollins and Murphy with kendo sticks as he was wrapped up on the ropes. Mysterio’s return will likely be to give Dominik some momentum going into his first WWE match this weekend against Rollins at SummerSlam.
WWE Raw Preview: Shawn Michaels Scheduled To Appear
Mysterio isn’t the only legend that will be returning to Raw this week, as it has already been confirmed that Shawn Michaels will be appearing on the show. It is believed that the legendary superstar will likely play a pivotal role in the WWE Championship segment that will take place tonight, with Michaels likely to give his thoughts about the attack that Randy Orton inflicted on Ric Flair.
It will be interesting to see what Michaels has in mind for tonight’s show, and whether Orton takes exception to the words that he will be speaking. There could be an interesting development, as Orton could leave Michaels flattened in the ring to close to the show.
WWE Raw Preview: More Retribution & Raw Underground
Retribution have already been causing waves since making their debut on the main roster a few weeks ago, and it would seem destined that they will once again get involved in a segment on tonight’s show. Fans still know very little about the group, but if SmackDown is anything to go by, then they will now be looking to take out superstars.
Shane McMahon’s Raw Underground will also continue, with more superstars from the main roster likely getting involved in the MMA-style fighting. Shayna Baszler became the first woman to appear on last week’s edition, but could she come up against another dominant female on this week’s edition?
