TLC ‘Find Love Live’ Spoilers: Did that Really Happen?
On the first episode of Find Love Live, viewers cringed at some of the pick up lines that these singles gave each other. “I’m a carnivore. I’ll eat you up, OK?” was muttered by Shamonique on the show. She goes by Shae and this was one of the first impressions that viewers had of her. The show works like this, two people will get a chance to go on dates live stream. Viewers can vote on Twitter during the show as to who they pick and go on their virtual date with.
TLC ‘Find Love Live’ Spoilers: Will You FInd Love or Be Terrified?
This show was supposed to be an in-person speed dating show, but with the pandemic upon us, TLC decided to change it up a bit. The producers wanted the show to continue, but knew that it would be pushed back if things didn’t clear up soon. That is when they decided to turn into a live show, add in some social distancing, and some viewer votes. TLC’s SVP of Development said, “We’ve always been so inspired at TLC, because of the ’90 Day Fiance’ franchise, to see that people can make real meaningful connections and truly fall in love in the most interesting of ways. Before the 90 days are up, a lot of people fall in love over Skype and dating and they never see each other face to face.”
Another cringe worthy part of this show is that contestants let down the ones they don’t choose on camera, live. Talk about some serious pressure! The host of the show, Sukanya Krishnan, introduces the contestants and the choices that they have for a virtual date. The singles have 30 seconds to show off who they are. This 30 seconds will make or break them. Once they have given their pitch, the single makes a choice to kick one of them off. Then the single can ask different questions of them and see what they do to make an impression. This show gives us an idea of what it is like to be single right now and how awkward a virtual date really is. For any other soap opera and entertainment news, please visit Daily Soap Dish.
