Queen Camilla and Princess Anne are helping to keep the royal family afloat while Kate Middleton is recovering from her stomach surgery.

The strong female royals work and fill the gap at royal engagements. Kate is irreplaceable, but Camilla and Princess Anne are dutifully picking up the slack.

The Queen Mother Was an Impressive Royal Female

The tradition of formidable female royals goes back to King Charles’s grandmother, the Queen Mother, who took over her husband’s public duties before and after his death. She threw herself into royal life, was a patron of 350 organizations, and was President of the British Red Cross Society.

The Queen Mother created the vision of a strong female example and set the standard for the rest of the royal family. She worked hard up to the time of her death in 2002 at age 101.

She was from the wartime era. Queen Mother never complained about anything. She was proud to perform her royal duties and very committed to the tradition of the monarchy.

The Queen Mother was nicknamed “The Steel Marshmallow.” She was very empathetic and kind but ruled with an iron fist. She also wasn’t afraid to speak her mind.

Many say that Kate Middleton is following in her footsteps. The Princess of Wales is compassionate but also made of tough stuff.

King Charles is so fond of powerful women because of his grandmother. It’s no wonder he has become so close with Princess Catherine.

Camilla is another example of a woman who knows how to get things done. According to a royal insider, Camilla

“can do more with half a raised eyebrow than many a courtier could ever hope to achieve.”

Another source explains that Camilla has a “very common sense approach” to her life as Queen and being a working royal.

She deals with the most important things first. The source continues.

“She’s also very good at cooling a furrowed royal brow, and because she has one foot still very much in the real world, thanks to her family, can bring a welcome sense of perspective,”

Princess Anne is also a hard worker and a tremendous help to the royal family. She has appointed five new “Extra Ladies in Waiting” and a new private secretary with military experience to assist her as a working royal.

    Princess Anne

Princess Anne devotes her time to over 400 royal engagements each year. She is getting on in years yet shows no sign of stopping anytime soon.

    A royal source says,

She will always stand shoulder to shoulder with her brother and never gets drawn into drama.”

Anne has a good working ethic and has for a long time.

She has also become confident in speaking her mind and uses it to help influence decisions within the monarchy.

Sophie Rhys Jones, the Duchess of Edinburgh, is said to be highly valuable to Kate Middleton. It has been said that she will likely be what Princess Anne is to King Charles.

Princess Sophie will help Kate Middleton

Powerful women are abundant in the royal family, and history proves this tradition will continue well into Kate’s reign as Queen.
