We haven’t seen Kate Middleton since Christmas Day during the walk to church in Sandringham. In January, it was announced that The Princess of Wales was admitted to the hospital for an unspecified type of abdominal surgery.
Kate’s Absence Has Been Felt Significantly By the UK
Kate spent two weeks recuperating at a private facility prior to coming home to Windsor to rest. Sometime after Easter, she is expected to resume her royal obligations.
This is hard on the UK, as the Commonwealth is so used to seeing Princess Catherine in pictures charming patrons and others at royal engagements or spending time with her husband, William, and their children, George, Louis, and Charlotte. Her absence is felt much like her graceful presence. It’s a glaring omission to the people of England.
Everyone wants to know what is going on with Kate. Where is she? How is she doing? What kind of abdominal surgery did she have? Is she recovering well?
These questions have gone unanswered, as William has said nothing. Instead, he has talked about the increasing need for humanitarian support to Gaza. He made a statement before he visited the British Red Cross in London.
We still have not yet heard about Kate. The fact that the royal family has kept so quiet about her abdominal surgery has led to much speculation.
Royal experts, the public, and the media have wondered about this for over a month. Everyone wants to know that Kate is okay.
The Princess had a surgical procedure in the abdominal area at the London Clinic on January 17th. The surgery was said to be non-cancerous. Early speculation was that she had a procedure to open another acid tract in her stomach to keep persisting acid refluxes from occurring.
Theories, Lies, and Rumors About Why Kate Had Abdominal Surgery
The acids were said to be triggered by her pregnancies. Another theory was that she had a hysterectomy to remove the uterus now that she was done having babies.
However, Mount Siani explains that abdominal surgery could mean that she had a procedure done on any of the following organs: appendix, bladder, gallbladder, intestines, kidney, uterus, liver, pancreas, spleen, and ovaries.
There have also been some ridiculous rumors on social media that Kate was in a coma. The thought was that she had a hysterectomy that led to serious complications during the post-operative period, and they had to induce coma.
It’s rare for the palace to respond to any rumor, but they did. “It’s total nonsense,” they said; the journalist did not fact-check these rumors.
Kate Middleton and Her Clinician Scheduled Her Surgery in Advance.
The abdominal operation was planned. It was, of course, Kate’s choice to keep her medical information private. The Princess is a class act and took the dignified route to keep mum about the details of her surgery.
At the time, Kensington Palace said:
“The Princess of Wales appreciates the interest this statement will generate. She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible and her wish that her personal medical information remain private. Kensington Palace will, therefore, only provide updates on her Royal Highness’s progress when there is significant new information to share.”
There you have it: Kate Middleton is keeping her medical situation private. This situation is all good; however, imaginations are running amuck, and predictions are wildly exaggerated.
