According to reports, Wendy had apparently fallen out with her production company, Debmar-Mercury. And as part of that process, it is claimed that her drinking had gotten worse. Her ex-husband Kevin Hunter has previously spoken about how her production company and him sought to try and help Wendy deal with her issues.
But for all the enthusiasm in trying, it seemed that there was no impact. In some prior comments at the time, he said: “They sat in a meeting with her whole family, including her now-deceased mom, and would not sign off on the recovery efforts that would’ve helped Wendy also get well and live and be sober.”
It is not surprising, then, that things have escalated since then. It is not exactly clear where Wendy is actually going for the rehab, but her prior track record indicates that she has sought out help in New York and Florida.
Regardless of where the location may be, her behaviour suggests that something radical needs to be done in order to make sure that she is fine. A source confirmed the following: “It’s gotten worse. She went from wine to straight up vodka.
“They [production company] turned their backs on her. They had too much control over someone so vulnerable.” The fans on social media were extremely worried about Wendy. A significant proportion of them wanted to see her get back to her usual self as soon as possible.
And in the process of doing so, they hoped they would be able to see her hitting the TV screens once again. One person wrote: “Just let her get well and enjoy her life. She cannot jump back to work when it’s clear that things aren’t right. Get well, Wendy!”
