‘Welcome to Plathville’ spoilers indicate it may be awhile before the audience of Welcome to Plathville gets to hear any of her songs. The reason being is, she just admitted that it’s really hard to share any of her personal music with anyone.

When Max said that he couldn’t wait to hear the songs, Moriah immediately shut down. You could tell that she wasn’t ready to share her stuff with anyone but Micah, her brother, at least not yet.

‘Welcome to Plathville’ Spoilers: Moriah’s music

I think a lot of the artistic types in the audience can relate. It’s hard to share something that is a part of you, that’s so deeply personal, something that you’ve created all by yourself. When an artist creates something, be through a visual medium or something like music, it’s often an extension of themselves. Sometimes they’re ready to share that, and sometimes they aren’t.

Especially if they fear judgment from the potential listening party. Kim and Barry obviously encouraged Moriah’s talent, but they may not have encourage her writing her original songs, and this is just speculation but that might just play a role in how reluctant she is to share her music.

Kim and Barry were really, really judgmental toward Moriah, and when you don’t have a parental figure who truly understands you and seems to just want to force you to live their way of life, no matter what, that scars a child.

Also, I suspect if her lyrics weren’t 100% praise and worship ready in any of the songs she may have tried to share, that Kim and Barry judged that too. It’s clear that when they formed the Plath family band that they were only interested in doing music of the religious variety, at least, Kim and Barry were.

As we know from last year, the older Plath siblings were perfectly fine with forming a more secular, country band.

There is also the fact that one of Moriah’s songs was directly inspired by Max himself, and sharing the work with ones muse, is often intimidating, because you don’t know if they’ll be flattered and love the song, or hate it and ask “Why did you write that about me?” and try to make you re-make it into something that it was never intended to be.

Either way, I have to compliment Moriah’s voice, she has such a talent, and I do hope that we get to hear one of her songs in their entirity one day. Stay tuned!!!
