‘Welcome to Plathville’ Spoilers tells that, when Kim rolled up with the rest of the Plaths in the friends’ Suburban, where were the little Plaths? Isaac and Lydia were there, and it looked like Amber may have been there, but we didn’t really see Cassia, or Mercy in the car with them.
Seeing as they’re all pretty young they may not have gone, or maybe they just didn’t want to go and rock the boat… or witness the upcoming train wreck because as a kid who’s been subject to awkward family gatherings before, one can kind of see where they might want to sit this one out. However, it looks like Isaac and Lydia and Amber are all there for the tea.

Still, considering how Kim wanted the entire family to go and support Moriah, it only stands to reason that she would bring the little girls too – unless the venue that they were at served alcohol – in which case she may not have wanted her youngest daughters exposed to it.
(Even though the kids were literally observed drinking Kambucha in some episodes? Make it make sense, Kim!) Kim was really firm in taking a stand and wanting to be there to support Moriah so it’s odd that she would leave her youngest daughters out of it – then again one of them is only seven, so maybe she thought that this particular outing would be traumatizing.
One conspicuously absent person was Barry. It seemed that he followed through on what he said to Kim previously, and that he wanted no part of it, and he didn’t want to come out.
He was probably the one left behind to stay with the younger two kids, and Kim framed this as ‘errands’ she had to run while in Tallahassee, but we knew from the moment that she stepped into the car that her first and only priority was going to Moriah’s concert.
Still it seems odd that Barry didn’t back up Kim on this decision, but maybe he’s been thinking about what Ethan said, that Kim is able to move Barry in any way she wants and maybe this was Barry’s own way of saying that he wouldn’t budge on this one… interesting hill to die on, Barry, which begs the question, why this hill in particular for Barry? Guess we’ll just have to watch and see. Stay tuned!!!
