Jamie Spears would love Britney Spears to no longer need someone taking a conservatorship role, and ultimately lead to Britney having more freedom. That is according to Jamie’s lawyer, Vivian Thoreen.
Vivian Thoreen: Jamie Spears ‘Would Love Nothing More Than To See Britney Not Need A Conservatorship
In an interview with CNN, she revealed that Britney could end the conservatorship, and the ball is now in her court. She said: “[Jamie] would love nothing more than to see Britney not need a conservatorship. Whether or not there is an end to the conservatorship really depends on Britney. If she wants to end her conservatorship, she can file a petition to end it.”
Although Jamie and Britney have had their differences, he still has his daughter’s best interests at heart. He would want nothing but for his daughter to be independent and maintain a relationship with her father so that he can continue to be a grandparent too.
She continued: “Like any parent, he doesn’t always see eye-to-eye on what Britney may want. Jamie unquestionably loves Britney, and he misses her very much. But he also respects her, and he wants to give her autonomy and space. And as I’ve said before, like any other family, there are ups and downs.”
And Vivian signed off the interview by stressing that Jamie will be there for her, regardless of the decision that Britney takes: “So, Jamie is respectful of Britney’s space, and he is also respectful of her attorney’s request that he not contact her. But the key is Britney knows that she can contact her daddy anytime and that he will be there for her. Whether or not there’s a conservatorship, Jamie will love Britney.”
The latest interview has echoed Vivian’s previous comments on which she stressed that Jamie was central to Britney’s good health. She claimed that he had guided Britney to be able to still provide for herself and her children, despite the singer’s well-documented problems. She noted: “Thanks to Jamie’s efforts, Britney’s estate is now capable of taking care of Britney and her children for the rest of their lives, as long as no one is permitted to exploit or take advantage of her again.
