There is an a-list cast including Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, Jack Lowden and Fionn Whitehead. The cinematography is among the best that you are ever likely to see in a film.
VE Films: The Great Escape
How could this film not make the list? It is one of the best war movies of all-time and has one of the most iconic soundtracks. The Great Escape follows allied prisoners of war as they attempt to escape from a German camp. This title is based on the book of the same name written by Paul Brickhall, which was released in 1950. It is largely based on true events and stars Steve McQueen, James Garner and Richard Attenborough.
VE Films: The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas
The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas documents an unlikely friendship between an eight-year-old son of a Nazi commandant and a Jewish boy that was being imprisoned inside the concentration camp.
