The renowned Hollywood publication Variety seems to have taken a negative stance towards Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after publishing an article implying that the couple’s continuous grievances about the Royal Family has made them predictable.
Variety Issues Scathing Attack On Harry And Meghan-‘This One-Trick Pony Is Due For The Glue Factory’
The article expressed scrutiny as to whether the couple had continuously presented the same story of being wronged by the British monarchy and had finally gone too far. Andrew Wallenstein, who happens to be the writer in question, had this to say: “[Have they] gone to the well one too many times with their oft-repeated tale of mistreatment at the hands of England’s royal family.
“How much more meat could possibly be left on this bone?” If those comments are taken to be true, then it is very significant for the following reasons. First of all, there are question marks over how many new disclosures we can expect to see in Harry’s upcoming memoir, Spare. Secondly, there is a feeling that once the major disclosures have all come out, then there will not be a lot left for the Sussexes to focus on.
And this may have an impact on their branding moving forward. Wallenstein’s following comments confirmed as much: “There can only be so many revelations left to share with the public now that the couple have exiled themselves away from their fractious coexistence with the monarchy.
“Given that they’ve beaten this horse to death, perhaps this one-trick pony is due for the glue factory.” The response on social media was much the same. A significant proportion of people made it clear that once Harry’s memoir had been published, then this would be the end for the couple.
One person wrote: “After Spare comes out, they got nothing.” We will have to see how this will all play out moving forward in the future. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
