US Congressional Candidate Beatrice Cardenas Mocks Harry And Meghan’s UK Visit-‘Their Two-Year-Long Tantrum Is Finally Over’
Reports indicated that the couple had decided to visit the Queen and Prince Charles, as they were in Europe anyway as part of their commitments for the Invictus Games. While their children did not accompany them on the trip, the very fact of the matter is that it was a significant step in repairing the relations.
After all, it was the first time that the couple had returned to the UK together since their departure from the Royal family in 2020. And yet, this did not go down very well in the United States.
Beatrice Cardenas, who happens to be a prospective congressional candidate for California’s 28th district, felt that the visit merely highlighted how badly the couple had failed to create their own brand.
She said: “Looks like their two-year-long tantrum is finally over and they can finally humble themselves knowing they overestimated their popularity.”
Nevertheless, it is important to take Beatrice’s comments with a pinch of salt. First of all, by the couple failing to return, it would only have increased the condemnation they were receiving.
After all, they have already missed a series of significant events including Prince Philip’s memorial. Secondly, the couple may have made a calculating decision, as by returning to the UK they are now going to be generating media headlines, all of which could increase their wider brand.
Lastly, in any event, the duo managed to keep their visit hidden from the media until after they had exited. This demonstrates that perhaps they had no intention of generating a media storm and were simply doing it out of sincerity.
Regardless of the couple’s motivation for visiting, it is clear that there are still many hurdles to be overcome. There were no signs that they met Prince William and Kate Middleton, which is perhaps something that another visit may look to resolve. So there you have it folks.
