NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal the April 1st episode was just what we needed. There’s been so much sadness on the show in recent months, plus we’re sure there’s a lot of people feeling tense as they watch the news. This episode came right on time, and was an awesome way to mark a day known for pulling pranks. Here are some of our highlights.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: You did what?!

So, first of all… this episode marked a number of returns. One of the most notable was Daniel Jonas (Shawn Christian), the late son of Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers). He also happens to be Nicole Walker’s (Arianne Zucker) ex and father of her child. Her expression when he knocked on her door was great, but it was what happened after that was the real winner.

Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate Nicole, much to Eric Brady’s (Greg Vaughan) annoyance, decided to take her formerly dead man back. They even were about to hold an impromptu wedding. However, Eric wasn’t going to give up. He did a background check faster than Manuel “Manu” Montero (Álex Perea) and learned that Daniel was already married. Nicole’s reaction was awesome, and it got even better. She demanded to know what he’s been doing all this time. His answer? Catching some waves in Australia. She went off on him in such an epic way, we were cracking up the whole time.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Who’s the daddy?

Another great twist in this episode was Sheila Watkins’ (Tionne Watkins) return. She came to get Eli Grant’s (Lamon Archey) help getting her baby back. It didn’t take long to catch the thief and get the kid back, but when Lani Price (Sal Stowers) demanded a DNA test in order to be a “grown up” and step back so they can be together, things got insane fast. Sheila’s off-hand admission she lied about Eli being the dad was great, but their reaction when Daniel showed up and clearly had married Sheila was better. They assumed he was the dad. Nope. And he wasted no time is denying it, which we loved. His delivery was spot-on. So who is the daddy?

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal it’s none other than Abe Carver (James Reynolds). The kid was conceived on her last night in Salem, and Lani’s obvious horror over this was great. As was Abe’s panic when Sheila revealed he’s the true father. These writers are seriously great at the comedic moments. But our top moment was related to this.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Deal of a lifetime

There are two things we love about this one. So, Leo Stark (Greg Rikkart) returned to the series for this special episode, and he was the one who stole Sheila’s baby. When Sheila and Eli arrived at Casa Kiriakis to take the kid back, Sheila went off on him for pretending to be her friend. He’d lured her out to drag queen bingo to get someone to steal her baby. Her other complaint? She lost $40 at bingo. Ha!

The other thing is Will Horton (Chandler Massey) and Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith). First, Will was all gaga over the baby, but things didn’t settle down for this pair after the kid was back with Mommy. Sonny later entered the bedroom to find Will and Leo in bed together. Will’s almost childish tone as he explained, “He’s a great salesman,” was our biggest laugh of the episode. And we loved how they ended it with Rikaart telling everyone, “April Fool’s!” If you haven’t seen this one yet, check the Days website and indulge in some laughs. Words simply can’t do the comedy justice.
