First, Vencer el Pasado spoilers reveal the talk just won’t quit. And it finally reached the wrong person. It seems Brenda Zermeño de Mascaró (Gabriela Rivero) is aware of the rumor and takes a bit of a surprising action tonight. She asks Carmen Medina de Cruz (Erika Buenfil) if she began the rumor of a romance between Renata and Lisandro.
Something tells us this friendship of theirs might take a turn for the worse. And Carmen really can’t afford to get on Carmen’s bad side, so she needs to tread carefully here.
Obviously, Carmen has been projecting since seeing that video of Renata. She doesn’t know exactly where her cheating man is, or his amante, so she’s taking out her anger on another alleged cheater. But anger can be a very self-destructive thing that will consume a person from the inside out, tearing down everything in one’s life. And Carmen is in serious danger of that. Of course, her entitlement complex and snobby behavior might be deserving of such a reality check.

In other Vencer el Pasado spoilers, Renata uses the new kit to check her compatibility with her family for the transplant. We understand why she doesn’t want to put this on her family right now. But we have a feeling testing her family behind their backs is going to backfire on her big-time. They’ll probably feel hurt she didn’t come to them sooner, and might feel betrayed by her taking samples of them without asking/telling them why they’re needed.
Of course, this is also likely to confirm what we’ve suspected—she might not actually be their daughter. We’ve figured as much since her character listing changed, and it would really make sense if she’s Lisandro’s daughter. He took to her pretty quickly and has been very helpful to Renata and her family. We suspect he might even know she’s his daughter, but we’ll see.
Univision Vencer el Pasado Spoilers: Family mess
Speaking of this family, they really are a dysfunctional bunch. And we can’t quite figure this whole thing out. The writers have been simultaneously been making Lisandro look like a good man who treats his workers well and clearly is doing a lot to help his addict son. And Javier Mascaró Zermeño (Ferdinando Valencia) definitely has issues.
However, they’ve also shown where Linsadro’s cheated on his wife, he’s being a bit sexist with his daughter, and there are a couple of people accusing this guy of theft. So, we don’t know what to think of this character. Who knows? Maybe he’s a mix. We love when characters are complicated and hard to categorize.
Last night, Javier got himself in more trouble trying to get a med he didn’t have a prescription on hand for. And now he’s in jail for assault, and there were plenty of indicators of a problem with substances before. Did he really cause the accident that’s the center of a revenge plot? We’ll see. It’s sure looking that way.
