You might remember from the last episode that Berenice Hidalgo (Tania Niebla) was abducted by Horacio Escamilla (Fermín Martínez) after she left the hideout she and the others have been using. Horacio didn’t waste a minute. He got in touch with Manu and made it clear he needed to show up, or Bere would suffer. Obviously, Manu chose to help his ex. It almost became a disaster.
Horacio isn’t an ethical sort that releases a hostage just because someone followed directions. He nearly killed them both, but Andrea Loera (Jackie Sauza) and others she worked with showed up just in time. They were saved, but they lost their objective—Horacio. He’s still running free, but he might not be the only threat here.

Things are not going well for Doña Cata. She’d blindly supported Juan (Tomás Goros), causing Bere’s disappearing act. Unfortunately for her, Bere was right and now Doña Cata knows it. She came across her missing cameo, headphones Bere lost, and the money Bere used to set her failed trap. Dona Cata looked absolutely devastated by the revelation, and we feel terrible for her. It’s got to be a harsh blow.

This is especially true, as they took a serious step in their relationship right before she found the stolen goods. But, Sin Miedo a la Verdad spoilers indicate she did the right thing. She called Juan out as a thief and demanded he stay away from her. But this might have consequences.
Univision Sin Miedo a la Verdad Spoilers: Trouble?
Earlier in the episode, Juan decided to do a little research on Manu, having just met him the previous episode. He learned some stuff about Manu’s past that doesn’t look so great. It seems his sister was considered a criminal and he was her accomplice. We haven’t see the previous seasons, so it’s very likely this was just a frame job. But, Juan doesn’t know that.
Since Doña Cata turned her back on him, we think Juan might do even more digging. If he’s feeling vengeful enough, there’s a very good chance he could reveal their hiding place to Horacio and the others who want to do Manu harm. Will he go that far? We’ll have to tune in to find out. But we do think there’s a great chance, as they made a point of highlighting his discovery.
