Before Manuel “Manu” Montero (Álex Perea) left for a secret meeting with Andrea Loera (Jackie Sauza), Doña Cata confided in him. She told him about the missing money. The thing is, she doesn’t actually suspect Juan. It’s Bere she’s suspicious of. She told him all about her desire to get far away from here, as well as Doña Cata’s refusal to lend her the money.
Sin Miedo a la Verdad spoilers indicate she thinks Bere stole the money in an act of defiance. After Manu left, Bere approached her about some money for the dog’s vaccinations and other small things. Doña Cata gave it to her, but there was a definitely suspicious vibe between them, and Bere doesn’t seem to like being accused. She also thinks she knows who did it, flashing back to seeing Juan (Tomás Goros) at the cabinet the money disappeared from. However, she’s smart enough to know that hard proof will be the only way to open Doña Cata’s eyes to who she’s mixed up with. There was just one problem.

At first, things seemed to be on track. Bere took some of Doña Cata’s money from another hiding spot to set a trap. She left a roll of bills on the kitchen counter, then hid her phone with the camera running. It seemed like a perfect trap, and she came close. Sadly for her, the Telenovela Gods had other plans.

Sin Miedo a la Verdad spoilers reveal Juan looked as if he were about to take the bait. Unfortunately for Bere, he was interrupted by some workers coming in to make a repair. They quickly started clearing out a cabinet. Three guesses what that did. You got it! The items ended up blocking the view of the bills. Not to mention, there are now several other people in the property and they were all standing around the counter. With the money missing now, it’ll be almost impossible to prove who actually did the deed. Although, we’re convinced it was Juan.

Bere is really in a bad spot now. She just lost some of Doña Cata’s money. As we said, there’s no way to prove who did it. With Doña Cata already wondering, this will make a very tense situation. She won’t believe Bere’s account when the missing money’s discovered (or Bere confesses what she did). This should make Bere more stubborn than ever to prove her point, so expect another trap ahead. Of course, we saw how petulant she’s been acting lately. She could just take this as an excuse to run off, cash on hand or no. Stay tuned to see what she chooses.
