So, let’s start with the peace agreement Maria de la Paz and Amadeo Penha Matheu (Marcos Palmeira) insisted on. His family caved to his insistence he wanted to marry Maria that badly and agreed to at least hear the other family out. Things seemed to go well.
We got a kick out of how everyone was basically armed to the teeth for this meeting, but they all agreed to set their weapons aside for the talk. Maria and Amadeo presented their case and everyone quietly heard them out.
Ultimately, his father agreed to cease the war between their families, but with a catch. If one member of their family goes down, this truce is over and the war will resume, bloodier than before.
Univision Dulce Ambición Spoilers: Except not
This brings us to the wedding. Yes, in two episodes, Maria de la Paz and Amadeo met, fell deeply in love in a day, brokered peace, and were all set to walk down the aisle.
Maria had asked her sister, Zenaide Sobral Ramirez (Maeve Jinkings), to be part of the ceremony, but she declined. Plus, Dulce stayed home because of an injury. Everyone else hurried to the church for the wedding but things escalated fast.
Amadeo was shot while at the altar and Maria la de Paz is devastated. Amadeo was rushed to the hospital, while Maria ended up back at her house. She wants to leave to see how Amadeo is doing, but she’s got her suspicions about what happened. She knows someone in her family had to break the deal, and she wants to know who.
This led her to bring Zenaide and Dulce to a church. Because they can’t lie within it’s walls. Dulce admitted to shooting Amadeo because she feared the enemy would treat her badly, while Zenaida wanted revenge for her dead husband. This came as a huge blow to Maria la de Paz, but it gets worse.

Dulce Ambición spoilers reveal Ticiana da Penha Matheus (Áurea Maranhão) overheard this church confession. She ran home to tell her family, who are furious at the betrayal. Because of this, they decide Maria la De Paz, Dulce, and Zenaide must die. They also want to kill the two children in the family, as you have to get rid of the poison early.
Knowing what will come of Dulce’s decision, she and Zenaide advise her to leave immediately. Dulce doesn’t want to see her nieta dead. Personally, we think she should have thought about that before she ruined Maria la de Paz’s life. But that’s just us. The idea she actually hugged Dulce goodbye was a surprise to us.
Univision Dulce Ambición Spoilers: Tonight
As for tonight, Dulce Ambición spoilers reveal Maria is grateful her life was saved and she escaped the vengeance. She makes a new start filled with hope. This is illustrated by one of the shots showing her meeting a man in her new home. It looks as though she’s working as a maid while also baking.
Tomorrow, we should also see the fate of some other Ramirez relatives. One of the children is nearly hit by a car and someone rescues her. Meanwhile, another will be taken to what looks like a convent. What a mess. And tonight will only be episode 3. Just imagine the insanity to come.
