First, Dulce Ambición spoilers reveal Régis has a bad record when it comes to being honest. After all, he worked with Jos to steal Maria de la Paz’s money.
Then, he denied a potential child to keep up the cover story. And if that wasn’t enough, he kept gambling away money, which complicated their plan. But we think his biggest mistake just happened.

So, we know Maria de la Paz eventually found out the truth and nearly killed him. Since then, he’s tried to be a better person. He wants Maria de la Paz back, but apparently, he didn’t learn enough of a lesson.
He knew Jos was trouble. In fact, he’d expressed doubts about their plan a while before they were busted. He knew Jos continued with the scheme and left Maria de la Paz in the street. So, it’s obvious she’s not a good person. Or very trustworthy. What’s he do?
This genius met up with Jos in the Wednesday episode. He’d asked her to lie to police about his whereabouts during the murders Jos actually committed.
Régis knew he had nothing to do with the killings, but he didn’t have a good alibi. To compensate for that, he asked Jos to say she was with him. At the same time, he denied her something she wanted.
He should’ve seen her coming. Jos knew the alibi thing is good for her, as this keeps her out of the police’s sights. However, she was angry enough to get some revenge.
When Camilo Boaventura (Lee Taylor) came calling, she made up her own story about where she was, then said Régis was not only lying about being with her, but he asked her to lie as well.
Camilo believes this, despite everyone knowing Jos and Régis had an affair and she took everything from Maria de la Paz. So, Régis is now a prime suspect in two murders. Because he was too stupid to know Jos can’t be counted on.

Univision Dulce Ambición Spoilers: Consequences
Finally, Dulce Ambición spoilers indicate this doesn’t say much for him as a person. He’s a terrible judge of character, and he kept up the game even after he had doubts.
That’s why we think he doesn’t deserve to get that second chance he’s practically begging for. And Maria de la Paz won’t want a thing to do with him after he’s accused of those murders. We think he’s just too much baggage and Maria de la Paz needs to hook up with Amadeu da Penha Matheus (Marcos Palmeira) instead.
At least he is seeing through Jos and refuses to help until she tells the truth. He’s never lied or let Maria de la Paz down. And, he didn’t need someone to buy him a business to make something of himself.
