So, Dulce Ramirez (Fernanda Montenegro) basically destroyed Maria de la Paz’s life by shooting her prometido before they could get married. This forced Maria de la Paz to leave home and start over in a new city, unless she wanted to be the next victim of the feud.
However, Zenaide Sobral Ramirez (Maeve Jinkings) wasn’t as lucky. You might remember she was killed last time, and her two daughters are living apart with strangers. This had huge consequences.
Dulce Ambición spoilers reveal Abuela showed up at the Matheus family home waving a white flag. She just wanted some answers after finding a burnt remnant of Zenaide’s purse. The answer apparently was not unexpected, yet painful.
But what really hit home was learning one bisnieta is roaming the streets alone. She pulled a gun and shot every Matheus in that house, including Vicente da Penha Matheus (Álamo Facó), who admitted he never killed the other child. She’s out there somewhere, too. After, nursing a bullet wound of her own, she burned the house to the ground and rose her carriage back home.
This is one badass woman, but even her determination only goes so far. She ended up dying at home after telling her family what she learned. She also begged them to do everything possible to find those kids and bring them home.

Meanwhile, Maria de la Paz was kind of happy to be pregnant by her love, even though she still doesn’t know his fate. No one will let any information leak about that. However, Gladys Mantovani (Nathalia Timberg) isn’t too thrilled.
She basically bullied Lyris Mantovani Aguiar (Deborah Evelyn) into firing this naïve, pregnant girl before she caught on to her rights. However, Maria de la Paz did get a month’s paycheck out of a few hours of work. Not a bad haul, even if it won’t last long.
Marlene (Suely Franco) didn’t take that news well, though, because she’s a retired teacher that can’t maintain Maria de la Paz, Zenaide, and the kids. Of course, they don’t know yet that’s not really an issue. This is where we get to the point of the show. Or, the main premise anyway.

This is basically a baking novela. Dulce Ambición spoilers reveal that’s Maria de la Paz’s passion and she thinks better when doing so. So, she jumped right into making a cake to figure out what she’ll do with her future.

Cue Dorotéia Macondo (Rosi Campos) and Eusébio Macondo (Marco Nanini). They arrive at Marlene’s place with other kids, so Maria de la Paz hands out slices of cake to all. They love them, so they suggest she sells her cakes out of a car. This is what a huge money-making empire will come from.
To help, Marlene talks her friend Antero Valadares (Ary Fontoura) into letting Maria de la Paz use his car to sell her cakes. He can’t really drive anyway. Eusebio will help by driving. It’s a cool idea, if not possibly iffy-sounding. There are probably a lot of people that might not want to buy a cake out of a stranger’s car trunk.

Finally, there’s Amadeu da Penha Matheus (Marcos Palmeira). It turns out he is going to fully recover. He just might not be able to walk again. This was obviously mixed news for the Matheus family, but we have a feeling abuela just made her family’s life worse. Yeah, she took out most of the family, but there are a few left, like Amadeu and his mother, Nilda Matheus (Jussara Freire).

As for tonight, Dulce Ambición spoilers reveal that Amadeu will begin his long, hard fight to walk again after surviving Dulce’s attack. But there’s another mission on his mind as well: finding Maria de la Paz. Meanwhile, Maria de la Paz will be growing her business as well as that baby while missing Amadeu. Plus, we might just seem some plotting after the attack on the Matheus home.
