Univision Como Tú No Hay Dos Spoilers: Hidden talent

So, we’ve all heard about The Masked Singer. It’s a reality competition show where celebrities perform in crazy disguises, and a winner is picked at the end. We’ve seen people riveted by the show, taking whatever clues they can find to guess who’s in the costume. And sometimes it’s a bit controversial. For example, people were not happy online when Gladys Knight came in third during the first season. Having finished season 3, there’s no sign of the popularity dwindling. Now, another country has gotten into the game.

Univision Como Tú No Hay Dos Spoilers: ¿Quién es la máscara?

The Mexican version, ¿Quién es la máscara?, debuted back in 2019 and now it’s coming to Univision. This Sunday night, fans watched as the country’s biggest stars competed for the title. And the panel tried to guess who they actually are. But those of us who are currently watching the channel’s Telenovelas will recognize one of the people in the judge’s seat.

Adrián Uribe currently plays a dual role on Como tú no hay dos. It’s the story of two brothers who were separated at birth. Circumstances brought them face-to-face later in life, but it also tore them apart more.

That’s because Antonio “Toño” Cortés Molina was mistaken for Ricardo Reyes Alonso. After a brief, weak effort to clear up the confusion, Toño usurped Ricardo’s life without realizing that’s his twin. He never even knew he’d had one, much less that this brother supposedly died. So, what can we expect from this new production featuring Uribe?

Univision Como Tú No Hay Dos Spoilers: The format

¿Quién es la máscara? Will be a weekly series, but don’t expect it to last that long. According to the Wikipedia page, the first season lasted 8 episodes before crowning a winner.

There are also three episodes listed as having an additional guest judge, and the show’s been renewed for a second season. Just don’t go on the page if you don’t want to know the results. Univision news reveals the results are already in the books.

Interestingly enough, we didn’t realize this was done elsewhere. The Masked Singer and ¿Quién es la máscara? are based on a Korean show called The King of Mask Singer.

It’s apparently lasted for six seasons so far, and The Masked singer is listed as the first non-Asian adaptation of the show. We’ll be curious to see if ¿Quién es la máscara? can have the same legs of the original.
