Even worse, she took the kids with her and claimed he abandoned them. Obviously, this was a devastating blow for Claudio. Oriana, terrified of losing her cash cow, demanded answers. Then she denied there was anything other than love motivating that walk down the aisle.
What she didn’t know was, the ex saved the letter she wrote where she explicitly says that she wasn’t going to waste her time on a “muerto de hambre” when there’s a better life in her sights. With the proof in her own writing, Claudio refused to let her trick him again. We love it.
Of course, Valeria is somewhat torn here. She didn’t want to do anything to hurt her mother. On the other hand, she couldn’t bear the thought of Oriana continuing to pull one over on a guy Valeria sees as a father figure. We see some bad times ahead for these two.
