If you missed the first film, ‘The Croods’ was a terribly underrated DreamWorks film in 2013. I remember only watching it because of my young children but instantly fell in love with it. The story is great, the characters are hilarious, it features great music and the overall tone and emotion of the film is a great one.
Whenever my kids picked out ‘The Croods’ to watch, I always ended up watching the whole thing while they started coloring or playing with toys. The cast was star-studded! Nicolas Cage, Emma Stone, Ryan Reynolds, Clark Duke, Cloris Leachman, and Catherine Keener voiced the lovable cave family of the Croods.
After watching it over and over for 7 years, I always wondered, why has this not gotten a sequel! It’s a fantastic film. Now, my dreams have been answered. Take a look at the official trailer for ‘The Croods 2’!

In the sequel, the Croods will be introduced to the Betterman’s, voiced by Peter Dinklage and Leslie Mann! They are a more evolved couple and will show the Croods a better and simpler life. Though this will obviously clash with everything they know, we can expect a lot of laughs and great humor from this film.
Viewer comments on the trailer were extremely positive and it’s good to know I wasn’t the only fan of the film. “When I first heard about the premise of this movie I thought the Bettermans were going to act all snooty towards the Croods. I was fine with that storyline but I LOVE this premise wayyy better. The Bettermans “better” the lives of the Croods and vice versa. Also love how Eve befriends the Betterman girl. Yes for strong female relationships! ?”, “Dang this movie was really underrated. Hope they don’t screw it up.”, and “This is the most unexpected thing I’ve ever seen in my life. It’s been like 7 years.” were just some of the comments.
