Trevor Noah Mourns The Death Of His Grandmother-‘I’ve Cried All Week’
The talk show host announced her passing at the age of 95-years-old on Thursday, 12th May 2022. And as part of that process, Trevor lost someone that had such a huge influence on his life.
And in order to pay homage to her, Trevor left some warm words for a person that would never be forgotten. In a post to his fans on Instagram, Trevor shared a video clip of him and his grandmother sitting next to each other. They both have huge smiles on their faces and could not be any happier.
The post was captioned by the following comments: “Every moment spent with her felt like a magical journey….Her house in Soweto wasn’t just a home, it was a refuge, a place where other women would come when they had no other place to go.”
Cleary, the loss has impacted Trevor. So much so that he admitted to becoming overwhelmed to the point where he could not hold back his emotions. After all, Frances was a respected figure in the community after having given back and inviting others to her home who were less well-off than her.
With that being said, the star could not hold back the tears. He added: “I’ve cried all week celebrating the greatest “movie” I’ve ever watched. A story that began with my first breath and ended with her last. A woman who showed me the truest definition of unconditional love.”
The fans on social media resonated with what Trevor had to say. People began to share their own stories about those that influenced their lives, and in the process of doing so, they hoped that Trevor would be able to overcome this. One person wrote: “So sorry for your loss and for sharing her beauty with all of us.”
The only thing Trevor can do is remember her by continuing the work that she had done. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
