Trevor Noah has denied claims that he has any ill-will towards Kanye West.
Trevor Noah Denies Having BEEF With Kanye West
The duo were alleged to have initially fallen out following claims that Kanye had used a racial slur against the talk show host after he had apparently defended his ex Kim Kardashian. This was on the basis that Kanye’s social media activity at the time was very erratic, partly in response to her relationship with Pete Davidson.
That naturally did not sit very well with West, as he felt that he was being called out by someone that ultimately had no inside knowledge of what was going on between him and Kim. In some comments at the time, Noah did not hold back. He said: “What [Kardashian is] going through is terrifying to watch.
“What we’re seeing is one of the most powerful, one of the richest women in the world, unable to get her ex to stop texting her, to stop chasing after her, to stop harassing her.” Despite those comments, Noah denied that he has any beef with Kanye.
He expanded on his comments by suggesting that the term ‘beef’ could only apply if there was genuine animosity on both sides. So when it came to himself, he had nothing to offer in that way. Instead, he admitted that he was concerned for Kanye’s welfare and urged those around him to offer as much support as possible.
Trevor’s following comments confirmed as much: “I’ve never beefed with Kanye West. I was concerned about Kanye West. What I have beef with is us as a society not coming together around the person and going like, ‘Hey, maybe this is not the moment to put a microphone in your face.”
