Travis Scott cannot get a break after the star received backlash over his partnership with ‘BetterHelp’, an app offering counselling services to those impacted by the Astroworld tragedy.

Travis could be forgiven for making mistakes in his attempt to make up for what had happened at his concert. The onset of the stampede ended up killing a reported eight people, but those figures are likely to increase.

In addition, it left many others injured, with news emerging that the response was not quick enough to prevent the tragedy from happening.

Although Travis was initially praised for coming out and offering his help, this venture has now backfired with concerns over the ethical nature of BetterHelp.

Fans reacted on social media by calling out what they believed to be a company known for breaching rules on privacy. As such, anybody who took up the services may end up having their data being compromised.

This is the last thing that people will want to experience following the Astroworld events. Podcast host, Bridget Todd had a lot to say on the matter.

In a post to her followers, she said: “Therapy apps like BetterHelp have been called out for their sketchy, not-really regulated policies around privacy.

“This “partnership” is just offering up these young people to be further mined and exploited for money.”

Much in the same way, others questioned the motive behind this initiative by Travis. They felt that he was simply doing this in order to protect himself.

By users joining this app, they may end up sharing information that would absolve him of any liability. As a consequence, it would negate the damage that would have otherwise come from an impending lawsuit.

In another post on Twitter, a user remarked: “It’s a great way to force unsuspecting, grieving teenagers and their families into accepting third party arbitration that precludes a future lawsuit.

“So he’s certainly an enterprising young man.” Travis is the only person that knows the real reason why he decided to team up with this app. With that in mind, there will always be questions over it.
