Travis Scott may have been absent from Coachella 2022, but that did not stop him from enjoying the festivities as he performed at the afterparty.
Travis Scott Rocks The Mic At The Coachella Afterparty But Fans Are Not Impressed-‘Murderer’
Travis’ music career has suffered of late, as a result of the Astroworld incident in which a reported 10 people were killed, as well as many others injured. And given that Travis was called out for not doing enough to attend to those that had suffered in the crowd, he has naturally suffered from being shunned by major music festivals.
And yet, that did not get him down too much. In the video here, we can see that Travis is leading the afterparty. He is part of the DJ group and has a microphone in his hands. And by the looks of it, the people were enjoying the music.
This was not the only time that Travis decided to skip a major event before turning up to a party. He had done this recently when he was absent from the Oscars, but nevertheless took to the stage at the pre-party.
And given that several major stars were present such as Tobey Maguire and Leonardo Di Caprio, Travis managed to get his music across to some of the biggest names. Nevertheless, the reaction from the fans was very hostile.
A large number of people could not forget the Astroworld tragedy and were of the view that by Travis continuing to perform, it was a sign of disrespect to those that had lost their lives. One person wrote: “Murderer reportedly performed 5 mid songs at a Coachella after-party.”
While another person stated: “I hope he didn’t sacrifice any lives in this performance.” There is still a long way to go before Travis is accepted back into the public arena. But given everything that we have seen so far, that is not going to happen anytime soon. Time will tell how it plays out.
