So, for Halloween, lots of celebrities dressed up and put their pictures on IG instead of actually going anywhere. That was a smart move (because hey, Arianna Grande can only call out so many people, she’s a busy person, folks) and Travis Scott was one of these celebrities.
But a lot of his followers didn’t like what he was dressed as. The costume was a brown Batman costume, which, honestly looked fine and unique, in my opinion, but one commenter had to be a wise guy, one comment had to say: “It’s roachman!” Which has very, very racist connotations.
Travis Scott humiliated off IG for his halloween costume?
Poor Travis, the costume didn’t look all that bad honestly. Albeit, the photograph of it wasn’t that good either. There could have been a lot better lighting to show off what the costume actually was. At first glance you couldn’t really tell what it was, and maybe that was half the problem or maybe people are just still judging him for dating a member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, Kylie Jenner.
It seems that the guys, while they get the swag associated with the clan, the general public tends to poke fun at them a lot, unless you’re Kanye and then you do a great job of that all by yourself, ahem, but I digress.
Not long after the insane backlash he got for the halloween post, Travis deactivated his instagram account. At first people thought that it was because of the backlash and that he had just been humiliated off instagram or something, but Scott’s representation tells a different story.
They said that he deleted his instagram so that he could focus more on his family and not so much on social media and he encouraged his followers to do the same. While it’s good that he’s using this time to focus on his family, the timing is awfully suspect and we just want to know: Is Travis okay?
Because it’s okay to feel insulted after something like that, comments like that should never be okay, especially in 2020. He shouldnt’ even feel the need to hide any hurt or indignation he should feel at those kinds of comments. It’s not okay. We’ll keep you posted if he comes back. Stay tuned!!!
