Travis Scott has controversially come out and claimed that he was unaware that fans were being put in danger until after the show.

The musician’s comments have stoked a backlash, given that a reported ten people died with countless others injured. Subsequently, many families have resorted to suing Travis in order to get some closure.
While he has attempted to make things right in the meantime, by offering to pay for the funerals of those who had died, these comments have not done him any favours.
During an interview, he said: “Even after the show, you’re just kind of hearing things, but I didn’t know the exact details until minutes before the press conference.”
Naturally, that remark has led to some family members coming out and slamming the musician for showing an apparent lack of remorse.
However, by trying to absolve himself of any culpability, Travis only ends up creating more problems. This will only go on to alienate those existing fans, as well as any potential new ones who may be interested in his music.
In addition, this is not going to do his brand any favours as the current cancel culture has shown that anyone’s career can be at risk.
Attorney Tony Buzbee had this to say: “Every time Travis Scott opens his mouth in an effort to avoid responsibility and accountability, he further exacerbates the pain of those that lost loved ones.”
Despite the anger being shown, Travis has vowed to do what he can to make things right. With that in mind, the only realistic thing that he could do is one of two things.
Pay compensation to all those who were impacted by the tragedy and make sure that they are taken care of. In addition, the musician could come out with a public apology and admit that regardless of intention, a huge mistake did occur under his watch.
Travis has to consider carefully what he is going to do, as any further slip-ups will increase the calls from fans to have him cancelled. We will have to see how this will play out.
