In the first season of Welcome to Plathville, we met Kim and Barry Plath and their children. Their fundamentalist, Christian ways keep the kids at home and keep them from outside influence. Moriah Plath has been the child that could be consider the black sheep of the family. She ran away to California with her sister-in-law and even decided to move away from home. Many fans of the show have mixed reviews about the show, but they are excited to hear about the second season.
TLC Welcome to Plathville Spoilers: Season Two has been confirmed!
The second season of the show should start filming in the next couple of weeks,according to a TLC source. There are no further details about the filming as of yet, but we can be sure that it will be very soon. There are many new cast members that could be added as well and the rumors are flying about it.
The second season may feature friends of the family, Nurie Rodrigues and Nathan Keller. There are another family that practices the Christian fundamentalist ways. Nathan is also Anna Duggars brother, so there may be some sightings of the Duggar family on Welcome to Plathville. One Reddit user posted, “That’s what I’m wondering. Weren’t two Plath girls in the wedding party? Hosanna and another one that was still at home?” Another wrote, “I wonder if they chose the date so that the Plaths would be filming, I also wonder if anything will make it in social media now. If they agreed for the wedding to be filmed even in the slightest, they might have had to sign ‘will not release such and such info.”
After all of the rumors that we had heard about the Plath children and how Ethan, his wife Olivia, and Moriah were all over social media, we assumed they were not interested in being on the show at all. Ethan even told fans that he felt “manipulated” into being on the show. We are not sure which Plaths will return to the show, but we will continue to keep you posted.
