TLC ‘Welcome To Plathville’ Spoilers indicate that Micah Plath also leads his older brother, Ethan Plath, into a life of debauchery. Not really, but you would think that from the way that Ethan acted.
It’s clear that Ethan is not ready to be out of the fundie lifestyle yet, because he was raised to never go to strip clubs, you could barely get him into a bar and wife Olivia Plath practically had to strap him into the tattoo artist’s chair last year in order to get their matching tatoos because, again, the way he was raised he was raised that getting a tattoo was wrong or somehow denoted that you were of a lower class of people. (Lots of people seem to have been raised with that belief, not just fundamentalists.)
Micah was rip-roarin’ ready to go, it was his birthday and he was ready to enjoy himself at a strip club. Although, something about the way he was acting tells us that that may not have been the actual first one he’s been to, considering he’s been out in LA for awhile now he could have dipped his toe in and seen “what God made” which is the way he phrased things to poor Ethan, who was practically having an embolism over having to walk into this establishment.

Poor Ethan, at one point he looked as if he might cry, he didn’t recgonize this guy as the same sweet, shy Micah who had left Georgia just last year and to be honest – neither did we.
We’re not saying it’s a bad change, but Micah’s personality has definitely come out a lot more and he’s a lot more mainstream than his upbringing ever allowed him to be. He told Moriah that he moved out of LA to be outside of his bubble and to live life on his own terms and boy howdy, how he did.
He did say that he “missed his bubble” however and wanted to come home to celebrate his birthday with family instead of living it up in LA, which he did say would be an excellent place to party. However, when you actually live there 24/7, there’s probably something that’s not all that special about it. Thoughts and prayers for Ethan, though, we hope that he recovers from his shock soon.
