After five years of marriage, the world of Welcome to Plathville was rocked when Ethan Plath and Olivia Plath took to social media to explain what had happened in their marriage.
There had been a lot of rumors going around that they were getting a divorce, but the couple did their best to deflect these questions. However, in their most recent posts on social media, they both confirmed that they were going their separate ways. Let’s find out more.

Olivia took to social media this week to share what she was feeling about her marriage with Ethan ending.
She wrote, “Ethan and I have decided to go our separate ways. I have ambivalent memories of us being 18 years old and innocently dreaming of forever- but the partner you choose is a reflection of the world you want to live in, and at 18 I didn’t know who I was or what kind of life I wanted to create for myself. 7 years later, I’ve already begun my journey of questioning, deconstructing, and rebuilding and I know that is a process that I will continue to prioritize throughout my life.”

She went on to say, “There were good moments and I want to remember and honor those. We fell in love as children and are going our separate way as adults. Wiser, older, nd braver. We will be okay. Thank you for the good times, Ethan. I wish the best for you.”
Then Ethan shared his thoughts on social media. “Olivia and I have parted ways. It just didn’t work between us, though Lord knows we both gave it all we had. It seemed we were constantly pulling each other in opposite directions in life with different goals. I wish Olivia the best in the future ahead. I care for her deeply and always will.”
Even though both Olivia and Ethan claimed all of the split rumors were false, it turns out that they finally had to tell their fans what was really going on. Even though Olivia told her fans almost daily that they were still together, this announcement makes it seem as if they were trying to keep things under wraps for purposes of their NDAs with TLC.
These two have been through a lot, but now it seems as if going their own ways is just what they need to make themselves happy again. We wish them both the best in life and in love.
