‘Welcome to Plathville’ spoilers finds that last week, when we saw the preview that Ethan and Olivia might want to move out of Cairo we were shocked because they literally haven’t been there that long, they just got married in 2018 (I think?) and seemed to be setting down roots nicely in the little town, at least that is until Kim and Barry Plath decided to literally play stalker and move to Cairo, 0.3 miles from where Ethan and Olivia’s house is, without even giving them any warning. They’re afraid to go to the grocery store, afraid of running into Ma and Pa Plath and receiving what exactly?
Because even though Barry has stated that eventually he wants to reconnect with Ethan and Olivia, Ethan was recounting how Olivia had seen Kim out at the grocery store and Kim had made it a point to give Olivia the silent treatment. For what reason?

We have no earthly idea what was going on at that time, she didn’t say at what point that was, whether it was before or after Ethan had delivered the ultimatum to them that he wanted nothing else to do with his parents. If it was after, it’s kind of understandable, but if it were before and Kim simply didn’t wave hello because of a difference of opinion on things? That’s petty.
Olivia also said that they were planning on raising kids in a few years and she wanted to get away to a place that had better schools (no mention of homeschooling!) and some space away from the Plaths. No doubt because she wouldn’t want the Plath’s strange beliefs infiltrating their brood.
Poor Ethan, I felt a little bad for him though, he said that in a perfect world he wouldn’t move from that house because he loves it so, and because it took him so long to get there, which I can relate to. It’s his first home and he’s proud of it, he wanted to probably raise his kids there, or at least start raising his kids there, but now thanks to Ma and Pa Plath, they feel they have to move.
Since Ethan has let go of his parents in the last episode, as per their little balloon ceremony, one wonders if Barry’s wish will ever come true. Stay tuned!!!
