TLC Sister Wives spoilers finds that we met one of the daughters, Mariah Brown. Mariah stands out a lot in this family because she is very open about her sexuality. On the March 15th episode, she was able to fully open up about coming out in the Brown family. We have the inside story on what she said and how her family has supported her through all of this.
TLC Sister Wives Spoilers: Mariah’s Love For Her Family
Living in a very religious family is tough when your sexuality isn’t the way your family wants it. This has been the case for Mariah growing up. She decided to confess some of her past worries while she was discovering that she was a lesbian. She was very emotional and shared how her family treated her and how the church felt. “I wanted to live polygamy. I think it was a way to protect myself from, like, coming out to myself, really. It was really hard for me to, like, be gay and be religious.” She told cameras that he father, Kody Brown, was very supportive of her during this painful time in her life. Coming out to a very religious group of people was scary for her.

She said her what-ifs with the cameras and how her life would be if she had never come out. “My guess is what would happen is I would get married to a man with a few wives, be there a few years, hate my life and eventually leave.” She was happy to give praise to her father during her coming out. “Right after I came out, my dad, he told me this before but he reiterated to me that he had a conversation with God many years ago and God said, ‘You love, I judge.’ And so all dad did was love. That’s all he does with everybody.”
Mariah talked a little bit about how the church wasn’t do fond of her coming out, but Meri Brown and Kody stood by her and her partner, Audrey. “I found so much comfort and they love me anyway. They love me and they love Audrey, and they love our love.” Audrey and Mariah are now engaged. Mariah popped the question in Washington, D.C. during the Women’s March. We are so happy that Meri and Kody have been so supportive of Mariah. It took a lot for her to speak to cameras so openly. You can catch Sister Wives on TLC on Sundays at 10 p.m. EST.
