TLC Counting On Spoilers reveal the Duggars are a family filled with love and happiness and you would think that Valentine’s Day would be an extra special day for many of them. Not a lot of the Duggars ended up sharing what they did on this day of love, but Jill and Derick Dillard did. They took to social media to share with their fans just exactly what they did for Valentine’s Day. Not all of their fans thought it was sweet and sentimental however.

Social media was all-atwitter when Derick and Jill shared a picture of their special Valentine’s Day. He posted some pictures of them at the Waffle House! The caption to the picture said, “law school couple’s Valentine’s dinner.” Fan of the show didn’t seem to be impressed with this. In fact, one fan wrote, “One of you being in law school doesn’t make you a law school couple.” He also gave Jill a special shout out and said, “I love you, Jill and thanks for being my Valentine these past 5 years.”

Some fans of the TLC series, Counting On, thought the post was very sweet and cute. Many of their fans chimed in about the traditions that they do with their loved ones on Valentine’s Day. Most of the fans said that they try to keep it simple, just the way that Jill and Derick did.
There were other fans that said Waffle House wasn’t the best place to take your date on this special day, but clearly, Jill and Derick didn’t let it bother them. One fan wrote, “I love Waffle House as much as any good southerner, but dude… up your game a bit for Valentine’s Day.” He then suggested taking her to IHOP next time!
The Waffle House discussion went on for quite some time on their social media accounts. Some fans even pointed out that some Waffle Houses actually do a Valentine’s Day event and some fans were thrilled that Derick would try to make a reservation! No matter what, it seems that these two did have a great time together and got to spend their time with one another.
We think it’s sweet that these two got a night out together, even if it was at Waffle House. If they are happy with this choice, why go spend hundreds of dollars on one night out.
