TLC Counting On Spoilers tease that Derick Dillard, husband to Jill Duggar, hasn’t always seen eye to eye with Jim Bob Duggar. It seems that they are still not on the best of terms. Although, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar made a special dedication to their son-in-law on social media, many fans were shocked! They were probably just as shocked as Derick! It was an interesting post because of the feud that has continued with Derick and the Duggar parents. We have the story of what is going on.
TLC Counting On Spoilers: What Derick Has Said!
Derick has talked a lot about how he does not get along with Jill’s parents. The two of them have been very open and honest about their beliefs and even were told to leave the show by TLC. He first upset Jim Bob when he accused him of keeping all of the money that came from 19 Kids and Counting and he never gave any to his children. This made Jim Bob incredibly angry and it became public knowledge that Jill and Derick were no longer allowed in their home. Jill has not been to any family events lately and some think that she didn’t even spend Christmas with her family!
TLC Counting On Spoilers: Derick and Jim Bob Not on Good Terms!
The post from Jim Bob and Michelle said, “Happy birthday, Derick! We’re so thankful for you! You’re a loving husband to our sweet Jill, and a wonderful daddy to your boys. May God bless you in this new year!” This is when the comments started to fly! One fan wrote, “I thought the Duggars were shunning Derick and Jill? I seriously doubt this is from JB and Michelle.” Another fan wrote, “No, the network cut them out because of his opinion on the Jazz show. It had nothing to do with the family.” This fan, in case you aren’t aware, is talking about his thoughts on I Am Jazz. Derick has made statements publicly about being homophobic and transphobic.
Derick decided to reply to some of these comments. In fact, the first thing he responded to was the comment about I am Jazz. “I have to respectfully disagree. ” Could he be off of the network for another reason?? The one other surprise was that Derick started to like the comments that were the most controversial. Comments such as the following got a like from him:
“This is damage control. LOL. You’ve treated him and Jill horribly because your love is conditional, and your brand is more important to you than your children. Can’t wait for that book, Derick!” “Derick… sad we don’t see ya’ll on TV… but AWESOME that you speak the TRUTH about the crap on TLC.”
