Kenneth and Armando are in a long-distance relationship. Armando lives in Mexico and the two of them met in an online group for gay dads. They fell in love and now Kenneth has plans to move to Mexico to be with Armando. Kenneth adores Armando and feels that moving to him is the best way to keep their relationship going. His children are all older, but Armando has a young daughter that he feels should stay in Mexico.

There are some problems though. Mexico is still very conservative about gay marriage and being open. This is going to be tough for the men because they do want others to embrace their love for one another. We will see Kenneth talking to a lot of people he knows about his new relationship. When he sold his house, he took some time to chat with his real estate agent, who is also a close friend.
Sabine helped Kenneth to sell his house, but then she talked to him the obstacles he may face. “In Mexico, they’re not as progressive down there with the LGBTQ+ community down there. Moving to someplace that doesn’t accept as easily as we accept here, that’s something to be thinking about. It truly is. Be sure you’ve got an exit plan.” Sabine also talks to the cameras, “How is he going to show love in public? Will he be able to? Because if there are those haters, I don’t know what they would do.”
Kenneth wanted to talk to one of his daughters about Armando too. His 23-year old daughter, Madison, calls him her best friend. Kenneth said it’s going to be so hard to leave her and her little boy, Cooper, who is three. He talks to Madison about Armando, “Armando has a lot to deal with there, too, to come to terms with all that. Armando’s really worried, because his parents, they’re not accepting of him. So the last four years, they’ve hardly even talked about him being gay. They’ve never talked face to face about me.” Then he told cameras, “I have no clue at all how his parents will react. I’m hoping he gets a positive outcome out of it, but it’s a roll of the dice. Hopefully, they’ll have open hearts and will accept us.
