Lisa’s friend thinks that he is a “Yahoo boy” and she should break up with him. “Yahoo boys” are men in Nigeria who scam women, usually online. Many of these men will form fake relationships with women online and have them send them money so that they can plan on visiting them. The trick is, they never visit the women, but the women are convinced that they are in love with them. This is what Lisa’s friends think Usman is doing to her.

Lisa’s friends have been warning her about him from the very beginning, but she continues to tell them that he loves her and would never scam her. Usman found Lisa on Facebook and they started talking as soon as he messaged her. They have now been talking online for two years.
